The Freeport & Harpswell Cribbage Board features the land and sea surrounding Harpswell Neck. The map stretches from Freeport into Brunswick, and ends with Harpswell, with its large coastal area and many surrounding islands.
One thing usually comes to mind when thinking of Freeport, Maine: shopping. That’s hardly a surprise. Stores seem to flow down Freeport’s Main Street, swirling away from the big L.L.Bean campus with its rambling flagship store (and all its smaller siblings) and pooling in the side streets. There are mainstream emporiums, the famous Freeport outlets, and the quirky, fun little local shops. But as you explore outward, there are plenty of opportunities for exploring the outdoors, like visiting Wolfe’s Neck for trails and agriculture classes, or taking a stroll around town to visit some of the delicious local restaurants the town has to offer.
Harpswell is the definition of a Maine seacoast town – mainly because it’s got so much seacoast. This historic community is made up of long Harpswell Neck, several large islands connected via bridges to the mainland (Bailey, Orrs and Great islands) and over 200 smaller islands accessible only by boat. Much of the town is made up of small villages known for historic houses, great views and quiet woodlands by the water.
The depths of the surrounding waters are marked in feet. These beautiful cribbage boards are made using hand finished solid cherry. Each board contains 2 tracks and all pegs (6 for 2 player) are conveniently stored within the board itself. The peg hole stopper doubles as a wine stopper engraved with the area name of the board.
