One day, Lisa-Marie’s son sat down at the Sea Dog Restaurant bar in Brunswick, Maine. He struck up conversation with the bartender about how much he liked the photos hanging on the wall. He said that if it was a Maine artist, that whoever the photographer was should reach out to his mom, Lisa-Marie about carrying the work in his family stores. The bartender finished pouring him his beer and confessed that he was in fact the photographer of the work hanging on the walls, Benjamin Williamson Photography.
Ben lives in Brunswick, Maine with his wife Kimberly, daughter Charlotte and two dogs, Lilly and Will. He started taking photos in 2012 and has barely put the camera down since. A lifelong love of history and following the weather have combined in photographs that feature classic Maine and New England scenery in beautiful light and unusual conditions.
Photography took over Ben’s life full time and he no longer bartends but as of late 2016, he is the director of photography for Down East Magazine.
