Do you love beer? How about craft beer? Would you go to just one location to try over 120 different craft beers? Portland on Tap, hosted by the Cross Insurance Arena in downtown Portland, Maine draws quite the crowd. Going on its 6th year, the event will be held on Saturday, January 25. Breweries from across the United States will be featured, including many you might recognize from the home state. To name a few: Funky Bow, Nonesuch, Shipyard, and Geary’s from Maine will stand alongside others like Lagunita’s from California and Cisco Brewers from Massachusetts. Various hard cider options will be available as well, by companies such as Urban Farm Fermentory (Maine) and Woodchuck Cider (Vermont). Tickets are available for purchase at AmericaonTap.com, CrossInsuranceArena.com, and other websites–some offering time-sensitive deals!
At Lisa-Marie’s Made in Maine we strive to promote everything local, and if that can include supporting our Maine breweries, then so be it! Featured in our shop is an artist from Cape Elizabeth, Maine who creates glassware from recycled beer and liquor bottles. From beer glasses showcasing bizarre logos to your classic Grey Goose bottle, you can find something for the drink connoisseur in your life. Maybe you’d like to commemorate your time at Portland on Tap by bringing in your favorite beer/cider bottle and have it hand-cut into a forever glass? He takes custom orders as well, with a time frame of about 2 weeks to deliver it back to the shop.
(Email marie@lisamariesmadeinmaine.com if you have a glass in mind!)
