Beach Sand

The Hermit Island Beach Sand Pendant is made from beach sand found on Hermit Island and covered in glass on surgical steel. Is Hermit Island  special to you? Hermit Island Campground started in 1952.  Since then, generations of campers have come to love the island.  It remains largely unchanged – rustic, slow-paced, and in tune with the natural environment.  There are 271 sites spread across the southern end of the island, each unique. Head Beach is at the south end near the entrance to the Campground  The public has access to this beach. Dune and West Dune beaches face west and are within the main campground.  Sunset Lagoon faces northwest, in the same area.  The north facing beaches include Spring Beach (access only by water or trail), Sailboat Beach, Bounty Cove, and Sand Dollar Beach. Marie spent a few summers working at Hermit Island. She could be found cashing people out at the camp Store when she wasn’t cashing people out at Lisa-Marie’s in downtown Bath.
